All revved up with no place to go
I was driving in my car yesterday when a song that I really like came on. It’s a really rocking song, one that makes you turn the volume up a couple of levels. (Right now you’re probably thinking that it was Meat Loaf but it wasn’t.) I even paused it so I could get out of the parking lot and onto the main road. After all, nobody wants to rock while creeping around a parking lot. So I hit the road, start the song, and start blazing along…
…and about 15 seconds later get stuck behind a truck going about 10 mph under the speed limit. PURE FRUSTRATION. I consider pausing the song again, but then I’ll feel like that truck won if I have to drive without my music. So I decide to turn at the next stoplight. As soon as possible, I get in the left turn lane, only for you-know-who to suddenly veer into the same turn lane one second later. Thank goodness the next road had two lanes and I could finally pass and drive at the speed the song deserved…for about a good 30 seconds.
